I. Emergency Handling of Minor Fabric Jams
1. Immediately Activate the Back-flush/Unclogging Mechanism: Upon detecting the onset of a jam, activate the equipment's built-in back-flush function. Using reverse liquid flow to dislodge the stuck fabric can resolve most minor jams directly.
2. Adjust Operating Parameters: Fine-tune nozzle pressure and fabric guide wheel speed to restore normal circulation. Confirm the fabric passes smoothly through the nozzle and dye channel before reverting to original process parameters.
II. Emergency Handling of Moderate Fabric Jams
1. Localized Clearing: If the jam occurs in the middle or rear of the dye vat and is not severe, gently pull the fabric from the front to gradually clear the blockage. Do not pull forcefully, as this may tear the fabric.
2. Handling Nozzle Jams: If the jam is stuck at the nozzle, immediately shut off the nozzle and main pump. Manually and slowly pull the fabric out of the nozzle, straighten it, and then restart the fabric feeding process.
III. Emergency Handling of Severe Fabric Jams
1. Step-by-Step Disassembly and Clearing: If the fabric is deeply entangled and cannot be cleared by back-flushing, stop the machine and open the dye vat inspection ports. Untangle the fabric section by section to avoid extensive damage caused by forceful pulling.
2. Targeted Inspection of Specific Jam Types: For severe jams involving "hernia-like" entrapment (fabric bulging through a gap), first inspect the partition gaps. Locate the trapped fabric, carefully extract it, and repair the gap to prevent similar entrapment issues in the future.
IV. Verification Points After Emergency Handling
1. After clearing the jam, run the fabric smoothly at low speed for 3–5 minutes. Confirm there are no snags and the fabric is moving freely before resuming the normal dyeing process.
2. Monitor the dye bath for foaming. Add an appropriate amount of defoamer if necessary to prevent future jams caused by "air locking" (gas entrapment).
