1. Initial Rapid Response: Stop the machine immediately upon detecting signs of a jam. Activate the equipment's built-in back-flush mechanism right away; using reverse fluid flow to dislodge slightly stuck fabric can resolve most minor jams.
2. Handling Specific Conditions:
If the jam is caused by lightweight, high-density fabric floating and knotting, first add an appropriate amount of de-aerating agent to the vessel. Use a full-overflow mode to ensure the fabric is completely submerged, then slowly "inch" the fabric guide wheel to gradually untangle the knots.
If the jam is caused by excessive foam in the dye bath (leading to air entrapment), first add an appropriate defoamer to eliminate the foam. Wait for the dye bath to stabilize before attempting to run the fabric at low speed.
3. Handling Severe Jams: If back-flushing fails, wait until the internal pressure drops to zero and the temperature cools to a safe level. Then, slowly open the vessel door and manually untangle and extract the stuck fabric, avoiding forceful pulling that could tear the fabric or damage equipment components.
4. Post-Resolution Inspection: After clearing the jam, inspect the condition of the nozzles and return valves to ensure they are suitable for the fabric type being processed. Clean out any residual loose threads or clumps from the vessel to prevent future jams.
