Safe Operation Procedures for Overflow Dyeing Machines

I. Pre-start Safety Checks
1. Verify that temperature gauges, pressure gauges, and safety valves have passed calibration and are functioning correctly; ensure vessel door seals are intact to prevent high-temperature, high-pressure leaks.
2. Inspect electrical circuits and piping for damage; clear flammable or explosive debris from the surrounding area; ensure fire-extinguishing equipment is readily available; and ensure operators wear protective clothing and heat-resistant gloves.
II. Operational Safety Controls
1. Strictly follow the programmed temperature ramp-up curve; rapid heating is strictly prohibited in the 80–130°C range. Monitor fabric movement through the viewing port throughout the process to prevent fabric jams that could cause over-pressurization.
2. Do not inject cold water directly while the machine is at high temperature to avoid vessel deformation caused by thermal shock. Shut down and inspect immediately if abnormal noises occur; opening the lid while the vessel is pressurized is strictly prohibited.
III. Safety Protocols for Shutdown and Unloading
1. After dyeing, cut off the heat source. Wait until the internal pressure drops to zero and the temperature falls below 80°C before slowly opening the lid to prevent scalding from escaping high-temperature steam.
2. Avoid direct contact with hot fabric during unloading. When cleaning the equipment later, follow "lockout/tagout" procedures (disconnect power and display warning tags) to prevent accidental startup and mechanical injury.
IV. Daily Maintenance and Safety Requirements
Clean the filter screen during every shift and periodically calibrate safety accessories. Operating the equipment at pressures exceeding the rated limit by more than 0.3 MPa is strictly prohibited. Maintain accurate safety operation records for every shift.
