Basic Functions and Operating Principles

The basic function of a dye jigger is to dye fabrics through the synergistic effects of winding and impregnation. The jigger winds the fabric at both ends onto a driving roller and a driven roller, respectively. A motor drives the fabric through repeated impregnation and winding within the dye tank. The dye liquor maintains stable temperature and concentration through a circulation system, ensuring uniform dyeing. The process typically includes feeding, pre-wetting, dyeing, washing, and discharging, each of which relies on the precise control of the jigger.

Core Functional Module Analysis
1. Winding System: This system consists of driving and driven rollers. A tension adjustment mechanism maintains fabric flatness to prevent wrinkles or breakage. Modern dye jiggers are often driven by servo motors, enabling digital control of winding speed and tension.

2. Dye Circulation System: This includes a dye tank, heater, and circulation pump, ensuring the dye bath temperature (typically 40-100°C) and uniform distribution. Some models are equipped with an automatic dosing device for precise control of dye and auxiliaries concentrations.

3. Temperature Control and Drive System: Sensors monitor the dye bath temperature in real time and coordinate adjustments with the heating unit. The drive system ensures a uniform fabric speed, typically ranging from 5-30 m/min to accommodate different fabric requirements.

4. Auxiliary Functions: This includes a washing tank, drying unit, and automated control system. High-end models support multi-color step dyeing, online pH monitoring, and fault self-diagnosis, significantly enhancing process flexibility and reliability.

Process Advantages and Application Scenarios

The core advantage of the jigger dyeing machine lies in its intermittent "dyeing-winding" process, making it particularly suitable for small-batch, multi-variety printing and dyeing needs. Compared to continuous pad dyeing, it allows for more precise control of dye penetration depth, making it suitable for heavy fabrics (such as denim and wool) or high-end fabrics sensitive to color variations. Furthermore, by upgrading their automation modules, modern dye jiggers can significantly reduce manual intervention, achieving energy savings and green production.
