The SMD jigger dyeing machine for silk fabric is designed for small-batch, multi-variety dyeing scenarios, offering a complete product range from small-scale pilot machines to ultra-large-capacity industrial machines. Based on fabric roll diameter, it comes in five main models: Φ150mm, Φ600mm, Φ1200mm, Φ1400mm, and Φ1500mm. The machine's outer casing features a sloping top, a self-closing door frame, and two lifting cylinders controlling the pneumatic opening and closing of the door. The top heating chamber maintains the operating temperature, prevents condensation dripping, and has a safety interlock that automatically stops heating when the door is opened. The dyeing tank can be heated by direct or indirect steam. The jigger dyeing machine for silk fabric can also be equipped with an active fabric roll alternating operation function and an external heat exchanger; all necessary process functions can be flexibly selected.

 

 

Working Principle

 

The jigger dyeing machine for silk fabric operates on a continuous loop system where the fabric is passed back and forth between two large rollers while being immersed in a dye bath. The fabric unrolls from one roller, passes through the dye liquor via guiding rollers, and is wound onto the opposite roller. Once fully wound, the direction reverses, and the process repeats. This repeated passage ensures uniform dye penetration and excellent color distribution across the entire fabric surface.

Important Considerations for Silk Dyeing

 

1. Temperature Sensitivity: Silk fibers can degrade above ~100°C. Use NTNP models or HTHP models with strict temperature limits.

2. Tension Control: Excessive warp-direction tension can damage silk. Adjust roller tension carefully.

3. Dye Selection: Acid dyes or reactive dyes are preferred for silk; ensure compatibility with the machine.

4. pH Management: Maintain acidic pH (typically 4–6) for optimal acid dye performance.

5. Mechanical Stress: While gentler than many alternatives, prolonged processing can still stress delicate silk - optimize cycle count.
