How to determine if a dyeing machine has completely cooled down?

Feb 18, 2026

The key to determining if a dyeing machine has completely cooled down is whether the overload protector has reset. If the protector resets automatically, the machine will restart after cooling; if it resets manually, the protector button will pop up or the indicator light will disappear, indicating that it is ready to operate.

Quick assessment methods:

Listen to the sound: After cooling, the "clicking" sound of mechanical parts will disappear, and the operating sound will become smoother.

Check the appearance: Check the protector status (whether the automatic or manual reset button has popped up).

Measure the temperature: Gently touch the motor casing with the back of your hand; it should not be hot to the touch (or use an infrared thermometer; the temperature should be close to room temperature).

Check the records: Check the equipment operation log to confirm that the overload event has ended.

Note: Before resetting, be sure to eliminate the cause of the overload (such as mechanical jamming or excessive tension), otherwise it may overload again. If the protector does not reset or the machine cannot start, it is recommended to contact a professional repairman.
